We are hosting the first in-person meetup of the Grenoble Nix User Group on Friday, September 11, 2026, 4 PM to 6 PM (UTC+2) at the IMAG auditorium on the UGA campus. Hosted by Yifei Sun and Gaétan Lepage.

Getting there: tram line B or C, stop Gabriel Faure. By car, take exit 1 (Domaine Universitaire / Gieres Mayencin) off the Rocade Sud. The building access page has maps, GPS coordinates, and a campus plan. Older directories list the building under its former address, 700 avenue Centrale.
The auditorium is one of the seven rooms of the espace Colloques on the ground floor of the building. It seats 100, including 3 wheelchair-accessible places, and the whole space is wheelchair accessible. Attendance is free and no registration is required.
Program
The session is dedicated to talks and workshops. Newcomers and long-time NixOS users are equally welcome.
- Talks: short community talks on Nix, NixOS, nixpkgs, and everything else!
- Workshops: hands-on sessions, including help for newcomers getting a first configuration up and running.
Sessions will be held in English and French. Bring a laptop if you would like to follow the workshops. Some food and drinks will be provided free of charge.
There is no registration. If you plan to come, react to the announcement in our Matrix room by Wednesday, September 9, 2026, so that we can order the right amount of food.
The auditorium is equipped for videoconferencing, so an online stream may be available. We will confirm whether it happens, and share the joining details, a few days before the event.

- 5:25 PM to 5:50 PM: GitHub Actions as the ultimate free Nix CI, by stepbrobd (nixpkgs committer, Colmena maintainer)
- 5:50 PM to the end: spontaneous talks and open discussion, then wrap-up
